The Best Video to Map Apps in 2026, Compared

Six apps that turn TikToks, Reels or YouTube videos into a map, compared on platforms, price, free tier, accounts, exports and video length.

Disclosure: We make ReelMap, one of the apps below. Competitor details checked Nov 4, 2026. Every fact in the table comes from the pages linked under Sources. We didn't run a hands-on test, nobody paid to be included, and we haven't contacted the other companies. If something has changed, tell us and we'll update it.

Quick answer

The best video to map app depends on your video and your phone. ReelMap maps TikToks, Reels and YouTube videos up to 3 minutes (incl. Shorts) in any browser. How we compared

We picked apps that take a video link and put the places in it on a map, then read each one's homepage, pricing page and help or FAQ pages. We noted only what each company says about itself. We didn't count pins or time anything, so this post makes no accuracy or speed claims about any app, including ours.

ReelMap: best for TikTok, Reels and short YouTube clips in a browser

Paste a link at reelmap.io and ReelMap finds the places using spoken names, on-screen text and visual context, then matches each one to Google Maps with a rating when Google Maps has one, and a link. It takes TikToks, Instagram Reels and YouTube videos up to 3 minutes (incl. Shorts).

  • Good fit if: you're on Android or desktop, you want the result in Google Maps, a CSV, or a KML file, or you'd rather buy credits once than subscribe.
  • Less of a fit if: your video is a long YouTube guide, or you want a day-by-day itinerary built for you. ReelMap vs VidTrip is that choice on its own.
  • Price: the first analysis is free with no account; after that, from $4.99 (see /packages). Credits don't expire.

VidTrip: best for turning a long YouTube guide into a day plan

VidTrip works from one YouTube travel video with captions. You answer a few questions about your trip and it builds a day-by-day plan, with every stop on a map and links back to the moment in the video. It doesn't take TikTok or Instagram links yet, according to its site.

  • Good fit if: you've found a narrated YouTube guide to your destination and want it turned into days, a PDF and map files.
  • Less of a fit if: your places are in TikToks or Reels.
  • Price: $4.99 per plan, paid once. There's no free plan, but you can open example plans.

Plotline: best iPhone app for collecting saves over time

Plotline is an iPhone app. You share a TikTok, Reel, YouTube video or web page to it from the share sheet, and the places land on your personal map, sorted by category. It also builds trip plans from your saves.

  • Good fit if: you're on iPhone and want one app that keeps collecting places for months.
  • Less of a fit if: you're on Android (waitlist only) or want a file to take elsewhere; file export isn't stated on its site.
  • Price: free tier, with Premiere at $9.99 a month or $49.99 a year in the US.

Can't Miss: best for a shared map with friends

Can't Miss runs in the browser. Paste a video and the places go onto a map your friends can open from a link, add to with a free account, and vote on. It takes TikTok, Reels, YouTube and Facebook videos.

  • Good fit if: you're planning with a group and nobody wants to install anything.
  • Less of a fit if: you'll map lots of videos on the free plan, which includes 4 scans with a free account.
  • Price: Pro at $44.99 a year, or lifetime $99 once for the first 50 members (regularly $149).

Triply: best free iPhone app for Reels and TikToks

Triply is an iPhone app, with Android in beta. Share a Reel or TikTok, or paste the link, and it pins the places. Its site describes day plans as something you arrange: you drop saved places into days and reorder them. It also reads Instagram photo carousels.

  • Good fit if: you save a lot of Instagram content, including photo posts, and want a free app.
  • Less of a fit if: you need YouTube or a file export; neither is stated on its site.
  • Price: free to download and use, per its site.

Dream Trip: best for iPhone users who want an AI-planned trip from saves

Dream Trip is an iPhone app. Its App Store listing requires iOS 18.0 or later. Share a TikTok, Instagram post or Google Maps link and it pulls out the place, maps it, and an AI planner turns your saves into a day-by-day trip.

  • Good fit if: you're on a recent iPhone and want the planning done for you.
  • Less of a fit if: you're on Android or want to try it free; its site says a Pro subscription is needed to use the app.
  • Price: shown in the App Store, and varies by country.
